From October 21 to 23, the 2021 Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition — the Second Artificial Intelligence Robot Application Technology was held in Shenzhen Polytechnic. The competition attracted 36 vocational college teams from Guangxi, Chongqing, Henan, Sichuan, Liaoning, Shandong, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Guangdong. After fierce competition, Shenzhen Polytechnic won one first prize, one second prize, and the Outstanding Contribution Award.
The BRICS competition is an international competition recognized by the Preparatory Committee after the 2017 BRICS Summit, filed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, and approved by the BRICS Business Council. Since its launch in 2017, the competition has been successively held for four sessions. The Second Artificial Intelligence Robot Application Technology event consisted of domestic and international games. The top 10 winners in the domestic game will be qualified for the international game. The event aims to evaluate contestants' application ability in intelligent vision, voice recognition, natural language processing, and other fields, cultivate their comprehensive abilities in the deployment of the open AI platforms, data marking, model building, the development and establishment of the AI system, the installation and debugging of the intelligent robot system, and path optimization, improve their comprehensive professional quality in engineering practice, innovation application, and teamwork. Moreover, by virtue of the production safety competition scenario close to reality, it will accelerate the professional transformation and cultivate innovation-based technical and skilled talents for industries and enterprises.
