The competition site
On November 4, the South China Division of Digital Interaction Design of 2023 BRICS Skills Competition, organized by the School of Communication of SZPU, successfully concluded. Our students Deng Chao, Lin Jinkang and Yu Min (instructors Chen Peng and Chen Qiao) won the first place in South China with their excellent performance and successfully advanced to the final.
The BRICS Skills Competition is an international competition recognized by the Preparatory Committee for the 2017 BRICS Supreme Leaders’ Meeting, consented by the competent department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and approved by the BRICS Business Council. Since its launch in 2017, the competition has been successfully held for six sessions, attracting a total of more than 160,000 participants in the competition and related conferences, exhibitions, technical exchanges and other activities. The competition this year attracted more than 120 teachers and students from 30 colleges and universities in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, etc.
In the process of preparing for the competition, the instructors guided the students to master the composite skills of media industry norms and digital media interaction design through multi-dimensional training, which improved the students’ insight and understanding, media technology development capacity, and comprehensive integration and teamwork ability.
