On December 3, the “2023 National Vocational Skills Competition - the Fourth National Telecom and Internet Industry Vocational Skills Competition”, co-sponsored by the China Association of Communication Enterprises and the China Employment Training Technical Instruction Center, and co-organized by our university, came to a successful end. Zhang Qian, a modern communication teacher from the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering, participated in the competition on behalf of the university and won the first prize of the first place, who would be awarded the title of “National Technical Expert” by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. The university won the “Outstanding Contribution Award” in the competition.

In the Fourth National Telecom and Internet Industry Vocational Skills Competition (Information Communication Network Operation Administrator) & the Second 5G Network Operation Administrator Vocational Skills Competition 2023 attracted more than 1,800 players from across the country. After the preliminary competition, provincial selection and other eliminationsessions, a total of 336 players entered the national final. After three rounds of fierce “confrontation”, 33 players won the first prize, 50 players won the second prize, and 84 players won the third prize. The top three players would be awarded the title of “National Technical Expert” after approval by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

Up to now, five teachers from the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering have been awarded the title of “National Technical Expert”, including Qi Kun, Wang Sunan, Li Yingying, Zeng Qiming and Wang Xiaoting. The School of Electronic and Communication Engineering has always attached great importance to training high-level technical and skilled young teachers, and promoting learning and teaching through competition, and has achieved remarkable results. In recent years, our young teachers have made their mark in various national competitions, and the good news has been spread frequently.
