Gold Award in the First China-North Africa Digital Skills Challenge

Ambassador Li Changlin in Morocco Takes a Photo with the Award-Winning Participants.

Recently, the First China-North Africa International Vocational Education Digital Innovation Skills Competition concluded successfully in Settat, Morocco. The competition focused on themes such as cross-border e-commerce, additive manufacturing, and virtual reality. Its aim was to foster communication and cooperation among universities in the China-North Africa region and to stimulate the innovative potential of young students. A total of 26 teams from various vocational schools in China, Morocco, and Tunisia participated in the intense competition of the grand final. Guided by the Additive Manufacturing Teaching Team from our School of Mechatronics and the Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing, including Cheng Lyusha, Zhang Liang, and others, students Du Saifei and Wu Hao stood out with their exceptional professional skills and innovative capabilities, ultimately winning the gold medal.

Ambassador Li Changlin attended the award ceremony and delivered a speech. He warmly congratulated the winners and emphasized the significant role of technology, talent, and innovation in national development. Ambassador Li Changlin pointed out that this competition provided a platform for universities in China and North Africa to exchange ideas and share knowledge, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation in technological innovation and energy transformation.

President Mukrim of Hassan I University in Morocco highly praised the competition. He stated that the event helps cultivate the innovative spirit and creative thinking of young students, and promotes the exchange and mutual learning between different educational systems and cultural values. He looks forward to Chinese and Moroccan youths using innovation as a bridge, focusing on cooperative innovation between universities, and contributing actively to promoting technological cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and Morocco.

Our active participation in this competition not only highlights our international influence in vocational education but also injects new vitality into educational cooperation and development in the China-North Africa region. The additive manufacturing team will continue to deepen collaboration in teaching and research, explore and innovate in the integration of science and education, and contribute to the professional development of our school's vocational bachelor programs.
