On March 10, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between SZPT and Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China (“OCCFC”) was held in Conference Room 101, Mingde Building, Liuxiandong Campus. The two sides will give full play to OCCFC’s bond role by introducing overseas advanced vocational education concepts, technologies and talents through overseas Chinese, and “taking overseas Chinese as a bridge” to promote the vocational education with Chinese characteristics, especially with the “SZPT mode”, to go abroad, and contribute “China solutions” to the development of international vocational education.
Before the meeting, the delegation led byQiao Wei, Consultant and Former Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese & Chairman of Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China, Liu Xin, Vice Minister of United Front Work Department of Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Office & Vice Chairman of Shenzhen Overseas Chinese International Association, Li Jianhua, Director of Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China & Director of Management Committee of International Vocational Education Charity Foundation, and Jiao Jiangli, Director of Project Department of Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China, had in-depth exchanges with SZPT Party Secretary Yang Xinbin and President Xu Jianling.
Qiao Wei said that Year 2023 is the first year for the study and implementation of the spirit of the Party’s 20th National Congress, and for the two sides to launch comprehensive strategic cooperation, which is of great significance. It is hoped that the two sides can perform deep cooperation with domestic and overseas institutions in the fields of education, technology, talent and industry, cultivate and build high-quality vocational education charity programs, enhance the cultural influence and communication power of vocational education, and join hands to build an innovation highland for global vocational education.
Xu Jianling said that in recent years, SZPT has made full use of overseas training centers and UNESCO’s international organization system to promote Shenzhen standards to “go global”. It is a great honor to cooperate with the foundation this time. It is hoped to, on one hand, introduce overseas advanced vocational education concepts, technologies, talents and other fine resources through overseas Chinese, and on the other hand, use the broad platform of the foundation to accelerate the pace of “SZPT mode” going abroad.
The strategic cooperation agreement between the two sides covers the following five tasks: actively responding to the national strategy and industrial development requirements of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and carrying out in-depth cooperation in technical skills training, application research & development, and social services; introducing high-quality international vocational education resources; jointly build professional clusters of preschool education, early childhood education and infant care; focusing on cultivating the “Scholarship for Education” charity brand; and serving the “Belt and Road” Initiative, serving the construction of skills society, cooperating with overseas institutions in the fields of education, technology, talent and industry, and enhancing the cultural influence and communication power of Shenzhen’s vocational education.
In the future, the two sides will follow the principle of “complementary advantages, resource sharing, mutual benefit and coordinated development” to jointly build an innovation highland for global vocational education.
