On September 30, a delegation of three members led by Lin Dinglong, Deputy Director of Department of International Relations in Temasek Polytechnic, visited our university. Yang Wenming, Director of UNESCO Vocational Education Liaison Centre, and Yang Congkun, Deputy Director of International Office, warmly received the delegation in Mingde Building. The two sides held productive talks.
At the meeting, Yang Wenming introduced SZPU’s basic situation, school-running characteristics, digital education resources and overseas cooperation. Lin Dinglong from Temasek Polytechnic expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of our school-running level. He introduced the development status of Temasek Polytechnic and looked forward to developing practical cooperation with our university in the fields of new energy and electric vehicles in the future. Afterwards, the two sides discussed about the fields in cooperation.
After the talks, the delegation from Temasek Polytechnic visited the School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering and the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering. The modern decoration style and the leading practical training equipment won unanimous praise from the delegation.
It is reported that Temasek Polytechnic, established in 1990, directly under the Ministry of Education of Singapore, is one of the comprehensive colleges in Singapore. It is located in the eastern part of Singapore, covering an area of 30 hectares. It has 5 faculties: School of Business, School of Applied Science, School of Information Technology, School of Design and School of Engineering. Offering a total of 44 full-time courses and 40 extracurricular courses, with about 15,000 students. There are more than 200 universities in Singapore, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States that recognize Temasek Polytechnic diplomas, and students can apply to the corresponding universities for further study after graduation.
