On November 21, our university held the 2023 Seminar for High-Quality Development of Digital Creative Industry in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. He Fangjun, Second-Level Inspector of Guangdong Social Sciences Association, Han Wangxi, Second-Level Inspector of Publicity Department of Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, Fan Weijun, Vice Chairman of Shenzhen Social Sciences Association, and Yang Xinbin, Pecretary of Party Committee of SZPU & Director of Guangdong Digital Creative Industry Center, attended the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, He Fangjun said in his speech that holding the academic seminar on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, focusing on the high-quality development of the digital creative industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, closely connecting with and responding to the questions of the times, is a wonderful epitome of the vast number of experts and scholars contributing to the construction of the Greater Bay Area. It is hoped that the participating experts and scholars can systematically clarify the comprehensive advantages of the Greater Bay Area, deeply explore the solid support, main direction and realization path of the Greater Bay Area to build an important power source of high-quality development, and deeply reflect on the key breakthroughs and practical points of multi-dimensional empowerment and positive interaction by industries, universities and research institutes in the same direction, so as to better assist the provincial Party committee in the high-level planning to promote the construction of the Greater Bay Area in the new stage.
In his speech, Yang Xinbin pointed out that in order to implement the work deployment of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government on promoting the construction of a strong province with digital economy, the university has established the Digital Creative Industry Research Center, which actively participates in the policy consultation and industry standard development of the provincial and municipal digital creative industries, contributing “SZPU wisdom” to the integrated development of the digital economy and the real economy, the upgrading of the cultural industry and the expansion of the supply of high-quality digital cultural products in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
Ding Wenhua, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a keynote speech entitled “Thinking on the Development of Digital Creative Technology”, in which he made an in-depth interpretation of the digital object production system, digital world construction system, and digital service integration system in the digital creative technology framework, and elaborated on nine core technologies and development directions involved in them, providing new technical thoughts for the development of the digital creative industry. Wu Guangsheng, Academician of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, delivered a keynote speech entitled “Scientific and Technological Innovation Helps the High-quality Development of Digital Creative Industry in the Greater Bay Area - The Example of TeraHertz Technology”. He introduced the general situation of the development of TeraHertz technology in detail, and vividly explained the path of scientific and technological innovation enabling the development of the digital content industry, opening a unique cognitive perspective of the digital creative industry for participants. The meeting also invited LAIPIC Chairman Wei Bo, a representative of the digital creative industry, to share the observations and thoughts from the front-line development sectors, as well as the practical application and development prospects of AI technology in the digital creative industry, showing the infinite possibilities of digital + creativity.
Subsequently, experts, scholars and industry elites discussed three themes in the sub-forum session, including “Digital creative industry from the perspective of high-quality development”, “Cultural tourism scene and urban creativity in the era of global digital culture”, and “Digital + creativity: the driving force of innovation and development”.
Hosted by Guangdong Social Sciences Association and organized by our university, the seminar brought together a number of academicians, more than 100 experts and scholars from Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and nearly 100 industry elites to, under the theme of “Chinese-style modernization and high-quality development of the digital creative Industry”, conduct in-depth exchanges on the current situation, trends and key tasks of the development of the digital creative industry, jointly offering advice on the development of the digital creative industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
