On December 28th, 2023, the Annual Work Exchange and Promotion Meeting of the Institute for Sino-Foreign People-to-People Exchange was held in Haikou. Vice President Li Yue attended the meeting and signed a letter of intent for cooperation with the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange, Ministry of Education(CCIPE) to jointly establish the Institute for Innovative Development of Vocational Education in People-to-People Exchange.

According to the letter of intent, both parties will leverage their strengths to jointly construct the Institute for Innovative Development of Vocational Education in People-to-People Exchange. They plan to organize projects such as international training for innovative development in vocational education and construct an international exchange and cooperation platform for vocational education's innovative development. This initiative aims to lead the innovative development of vocational education and people-to-people exchange, fully utilizing the role of higher education institutions in serving industries, enterprises, participating in the "Belt and Road" initiative, and promoting Sino-foreign people-to-people exchanges.

It is reported that the CCIPE is a specialized institution engaged in Chinese and foreign humanities exchange in accordance with the needs of the development of Chinese and foreign humanities exchange and approved by the Office of the Central Institutional Preparation Commission. Since its establishment in 2017, the Center has actively built platforms for various people-to-people exchange entities, organized and implemented cultural exchange projects, and carried out education, dissemination, and practice of cultural exchange concepts. It has promoted the focus of cultural exchange to deepen, contributing to the opening up of education, the construction of the "Belt and Road", and the effort to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
