From January 24th to 25th, the Guangdong Provincial Vocational College Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Education) in Network System Management for the 2023-2024 academic year, sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, was smoothly held at the Xili Lake Gymnasium of Shenzhen Polytechnic University (SZPU). This competition attracted 134 participants from 67 brother institutions within the province. After intense competition, the SZPU team led by teacher Liang Guangmin, with guidance from teachers Qu Haizhou and Zhang Lijuan, and featuring competitors Liu Yaqi and Chen Xiyang, won first place in the first prize category.
The Network System Management competition, based on real enterprise projects and tasks, aligned with the latest demands of enterprises for students' vocational skills. It required participants to complete typical tasks such as project requirement analysis and network design planning, network equipment configuration, enterprise network services and application deployment, and network operation and management within a specified time. The competition aimed to assess participants' professional qualities, specialized skills, and innovation awareness in the field of informational networking.
This competition was a major showcase and review of high-quality development in the computer network technology field across the province, serving as a significant contest and training opportunity for vocational colleges. With meticulous preparation by the School of Telecommunications and cooperation from various departments within the SZPU, all tasks were orderly executed and successfully completed, receiving unanimous praise from expert judges, participating institutions, and competition inspectors.
