Our University Successfully Selected as a Chinese Member University in the "China-Arab 10+10 Cooperation Plan" in the Field of Youth Talent Development.
Recently, the China Higher Education Association announced the list of leading Chinese universities and member universities in the "China-Arab 10+10 Cooperation Plan." Our university has been successfully selected as a Chinese member university in the "China-Arab 10+10 Cooperation Plan" in the field of youth talent development. This milestone signifies a significant step for our university in promoting China-Arab educational cooperation and fostering international talent cultivation, exchanges, and cooperation.
To implement the "Eight Major Action Plans for China-Arab Practical Cooperation", including the "Youth Talent Development Joint Action" proposed by President Xi Jinping at the first China-Arab States Summit, and to implement the "China-Arab 10+10 Cooperation Plan", the China Higher Education Association, under the guidance of the International Department of the Ministry of Education, organized the application process for leading Chinese universities and member universities in the "China-Arab 10+10 Cooperation Plan" in November last year. After qualification review, meeting selection, and public announcement, a total of 10 universities were selected as leading Chinese universities, and 321 universities were absorbed as Chinese member universities.
Our university signed a cooperation agreement with the Technical Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education of Egypt and the Education Council of Luxor Province, Egypt.
As early as 2017, SZPU established an Arabic language major, filling the gap in Arabic language majors in ordinary institutions of higher learning in Shenzhen and laying a solid foundation for the university's exchanges and cooperation with Arab countries. In recent years, our university has established good cooperative relationships with the Technical and Vocational Education Department of Egypt, the Saudi Arabian Technical and Vocational Training General Organization, the New Cairo University of Egypt, and the Chinese Embassy in Egypt. Cooperating with the Technical and Vocational Education Department of Egypt, our university has developed targeted vocational education development transformation plans and joint talent training plans in fields such as mechanical engineering and hotel management, in line with local economic and social development needs. Cooperation with Saudi Arabia in the field of new energy vehicles is also under discussion and promotion. This selection provides an opportunity for our university to deepen cooperation with Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and other Arab countries. Through activities such as international conferences, international youth skills competitions, and youth student skills training, we will build a platform for exchanges between young students and technical talents from Arab countries and promote cooperation between Chinese and Arab universities in the field of vocational education.
The "Youth Talent Development Joint Action" is one of the "Eight Major Action Plans for China-Arab Practical Cooperation" proposed by President Xi Jinping at the first China-Arab States Summit in December 2022. Its contents include holding the China-Arab Youth Development Forum, launching the "China-Arab 10+10 Cooperation Plan," inviting 100 young scientists from Arab countries to conduct research exchanges in China, inviting 3,000 teenagers to participate in China-Arab cultural exchanges, inviting 10,000 Arab talents to participate in professional training in poverty alleviation, health, green development, and other fields, and promoting the construction of more Luban Workshops in Arab countries.
