Tripartite Joint Meeting Held in Heping County.
On May 25, Party Secretary Yang Xinbin led a delegation to Heping County to attend the “Double-Hundred Action” Pairing and Co-construction Joint Meeting and conduct a specialized survey. Heping County Party Secretary Deng Zhuowen, Deputy Secretary Ma Qinghui, and other officials participated in the event.
In the morning, the research group inspected the “Yangming Town Meixing Village Strong Village Industrial Development” project, visited county officials, and attended the tripartite joint meeting on pairing and co-construction. The meeting summarized the progress of the joint construction projects, conveyed and studied the latest directives of the provincial “Hundred-Thousand-Ten-Thousand Project” and “Double-Hundred Action”, and put forward requirements for the next steps.
Deng Zhuowen noted that the two universities have provided significant assistance and guidance in industrial development, rural construction, and education to Heping County, injecting strong vitality into the county’s “Hundred-Thousand-Ten-Thousand Project”. The service team and project team, rooted in the grassroots of towns and villages, have shown positive attitudes, solid work styles, and remarkable results. In 2023, Heping County’s GDP grew by 5.0% year-on-year, outpacing the provincial and municipal averages. Moving forward, the county and universities will focus on key advantages to deepen cooperation and promote mutual benefits, strengthen communication and coordination to implement precise measures, and improve the work mechanism to enhance quality and effectiveness.
Yang Xinbin emphasized that since the launch of the “Double-Hundred Action”, our university has always regarded it as the top priority and deeply involved the entire faculty and student body. Our work has focused on “enhancing industry, increasing agricultural output, raising residents’ income, greening the county, and improving people’s well-being”. As 2024 is crucial for implementing the provincial “Hundred-Thousand-Ten-Thousand Project” and advancing the “Double-Hundred Action”, our university will further concentrate on these five goals, building consensus, gathering strength, and ensuring the thorough implementation of the “Double-Hundred Action”. This will leave Heping County with sustainable models, technologies, and talent for long-term development.
Wang Sheng stated that Huizhou University will continue to strengthen overall organization, take proactive actions, and enhance resource integration, working with partner county and school to advance the “Double-Hundred Action” comprehensively. For 2024, he outlined five key tasks: leveraging party leadership for deep integration with project construction, enhancing coordination with partner county and project teams, focusing on key tasks and critical links, utilizing unique advantages to build an all-encompassing educational support system, and planning the second batch of school-county joint construction projects with scientific precision.
In the afternoon, the research group visited Shangling Town to assess the progress of the “High-Quality Development of the Bamboo Industry Base” project. They observed the significant improvements in bamboo quality and yield after six months of scientific cultivation. The group held an on-site meeting to address practical challenges such as demonstration forest construction, power supply for the dried bamboo shoot workshop, land for the bamboo industry circular industrial park, and biomass boiler permits.
Later, the research group visited the Bamboo Industry Science and Technology Courtyard, learning about its goals in technological innovation, promotion, and results demonstration, as well as the construction plans for the exhibition hall, training room, and innovation center. Yang Xinbin unveiled the plaque for the “Shenzhen Polytechnic University Heping County Bamboo Industry Science and Technology Courtyard” and awarded “Demonstration Forest Certificates” to seven demonstration households of the “Thousand-Mu Demonstration Forest”. He remarked that the bamboo industry project reflects the practical work style of our university, our deep commitment to serving society, and our determination to support Heping County’s development. It is a model of leveraging local resources to build advantageous industries. The university will continue to support the bamboo industry project, working with Heping County to develop it into a pillar industry.
