He warmly welcomed the new teachers and congratulated the collectives and individuals who were recognized for their outstanding achievements. Reflecting on the past year, Xu emphasized that the university has made remarkable progress, with its first undergraduate admissions in 2023 being a resounding success and continued breakthroughs in 2024. This demonstrates society's recognition of SZPU’s educational capabilities, which is a result of the collective efforts and dedication of the entire faculty and staff. Xu highlighted the university's vocational undergraduate program development, aimed at becoming a gathering place for master craftspeople and experts. He outlined key initiatives, including strengthening teacher ethics, intensifying talent recruitment, building a teacher growth pipeline, improving training quality, and enhancing the development of the Teacher Development Center, all to cultivate a high-quality faculty team that excels in both political integrity and educational expertise.
Looking to the future, Xu put forward four new and higher requirements for the teaching staff: strengthening ideals and beliefs, fostering a deep sense of patriotism, upholding high standards of teacher ethics, enhancing educational capabilities, and promoting teamwork for mutual growth. He emphasized that the university is steadily moving toward the ambitious goal of becoming a world-class vocational university with Chinese characteristics. He encouraged all faculty and staff to work together with passion, energy, and a strong sense of professional idealism to unite and build the collective dream of advancing education.
