The Sports Meeting was held at the Liuxian Cave Sports Field in the Xili Campus.
From November 13 to 15, the 2nd Sports Meeting of Shenzhen Polytechnic University took place at the Liuxian Cave Sports Field in the Xili Campus. The opening ceremony was attended by Xu Jianling, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University, as well as Vice Presidents Li Yue and Li Xiaoyuan, among other university leaders. The ceremony was hosted by Vice President Dong Zhaojun.
Program Performances.
The theme of this Sports Meeting is "Crafting Dreams with Dedication, Energized by Sports". Accompanied by the grand march of the sports procession, the university's flag and emblem guard, the officiating judges' team, 20 student representative teams, and 27 faculty representative teams entered the venue in sequence. They were full of energy and spirit, marching in perfect unison, chanting loud and clear slogans, and proudly passing by the podium for inspection, displaying the unique vitality of Shenzhen Polytechnic. Colorful flags waved and balloons soared in the air as faculty and students lined up in an orderly fashion before the podium, filled with determination. All eyes were on the national flag as it rose slowly to the sound of the national anthem.
The representative teams were full of determination and enthusiasm.
Xu Jianling delivered the opening speech for this Sports Meeting. He extended his warm congratulations on the successful convening of the event and expressed sincere appreciation to the faculty and students who had worked tirelessly in its preparation. He then highlighted the significant achievements made by the university in the past year in areas such as sports events, sports facilities, and the overall sports atmosphere. In conclusion, he encouraged all participants to approach the competition with enthusiasm and determination, showcasing their best athletic performance and spirit. He emphasized the Olympic values of "Faster, Higher, Stronger, and More United," hoping that all faculty and students would take this Sports Meeting as an opportunity to integrate the spirit of sports into their daily academic and personal lives, continually improving both physical fitness and mental well-being. He also hoped that this event would help further unite the university's collective strength, transforming the spirit of teamwork and perseverance into a driving force for progress and excellence, ultimately contributing to the development of a world-class polytechnic university with Chinese characteristics.

After intense competition, a total of 1,755 athletes participated in 40 events across 8 categories, winning a total of 243 medals: 81 gold, 81 silver, and 81 bronze, with 8 new records set. The Best Organization Award was given to 16 units, including the First Sub-union of the Administration Department, while the Sportsmanship Award went to 16 units, such as the School of Undergraduate Education. The top six student teams in terms of overall score were the Schools of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Automotive and Traffic Engineering, Business Foreign Languages, Management, Architecture, and Mechatronics. The top six faculty teams included the Mechatronics Engineering Sub-union, Automotive and Traffic Engineering Sub-union, Security Sub-union, Industrial Training Center Sub-union, Architecture Engineering Sub-union, and Food and Drug Sub-union.
