Recently, the 6th Belarusian Republic Vocational Skills Competition and the Eurasian Economic Union and Partner Countries Vocational Skills Open Competition concluded successfully in Minsk, Belarus.
Selected by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Li Wentao, a student from the School of Management's Hotel Management and Digitalization major at our university, represented China in the Restaurant Service category, with Fang Xia, a teacher from the School of Management, serving as coach and expert judge for the competition. The Restaurant Service category featured participants from seven countries: Belarus, China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Zimbabwe. After three days of intense competition across four modules, Li Wentao secured the gold medal in the category through exceptional professional skills and outstanding performance, proudly waving the national flag on the international stage to bring honor to the country.
In preparation for representing the nation in Belarus, the school leadership placed great emphasis on the training phase, providing comprehensive and robust support for the team. The World Skills Competition Restaurant Service category China training base provided full technical support throughout the training process. This outstanding achievement is the result of the team's dedicated efforts and also vividly demonstrates the School of Management's long-term commitment to deepening industry-education integration and strengthening skills training.
Moving forward, the School of Management will continue to leverage skills competitions as a driving force to contribute to the nation's high-skilled talent development.
