On December 26, the first plenary meeting of the Vocational School Teacher Training Subcommittee of the Ministry of Education's Expert Advisory Committee on Teacher Team Construction was held at Shenzhen Polytechnic University. Relevant officials from the Teacher Development Division of the Department of Teacher Work of the Ministry of Education, as well as Xu Jianling, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shenzhen Polytechnic University, attended the meeting. All members of the subcommittee from frontline vocational education institutions nationwide participated. The meeting was presided over by Liang Zhaofeng, Secretary-General of the subcommittee.

The Vocational School Teacher Training Subcommittee of the Ministry of Education's Expert Advisory Committee on Teacher Team Construction is a national, non-profit, non-permanent expert organization appointed and led by the Ministry of Education. It is supervised by the Department of Teacher Work of the Ministry of Education and is dedicated to fully leveraging the positive role of experts and scholars in decision-making consultation, research and demonstration, professional guidance, evaluation and review, supervision and management, and other aspects related to vocational school teacher training. Under the guidance of the Department of Teacher Work and the overarching committee, it comprehensively advances the high-quality development of vocational school teacher training.

In his opening remarks, Xu Jianling stated that the establishment of the Ministry of Education's Expert Advisory Committee on Teacher Team Construction is an important measure by the Ministry to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on teacher team building and the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee. It also serves as a key mechanism for systematically and professionally advancing teacher team construction and consolidating the foundation of building an education powerhouse. In light of the functional positioning of the Vocational School Teacher Training Subcommittee, Xu Jianling put forward three suggestions for the subcommittee's future work: First, elevate political awareness and deeply grasp the mission and tasks of vocational school teacher training. Second, focus on key areas and clarify the main directions of the subcommittee's work. Third, promote resource sharing and build a new ecosystem for collaborative innovation in teacher training. At the same time, efforts should be made to actively establish a national exchange platform for vocational institution teacher training, enabling more teachers to access high-quality training services.

The meeting held a ceremony for issuing appointment letters to all members, marking their official assumption of duties. The subcommittee released the Guidelines for the Development and Implementation of Enterprise Practice Projects for Vocational Education Teachers, with the drafting experts providing an interpretation. All members engaged in focused discussions on the subcommittee's charter details and the 2026 work plan, clarifying the key directions and implementation pathways for future work, thereby laying a solid foundation for the standardized operation and efficient performance of the subcommittee.
