On July 21, a delegation, led by Yang Xinbin, secretary of the Party Committee and president of Shenzhen Polytechnic, and Dong Chaojun, vice-president of Shenzhen Polytechnic, visited the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone to discuss with Chan Yaodong, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone, about the preparation of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Campus. They attended the unveiling ceremony of the Development Office of Shenzhen-Shanwei Campus.

The symposium was chaired by Cai Zhuanwan, a member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone, who warmly welcomed the delegation and stressed that education is a top priority of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone. He said that the Cooperation Zone had held a series of meetings to accelerate the high-quality development of education. The Cooperation Zone will provide support and guarantee as much as it can for the construction of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Campus of Shenzhen Polytechnic, as well as solutions to teachers' lives and their children's education, so as to retain talent, advance the development, and form a virtuous circle.

Yang Xinbin first expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone, concerning departments and Chishi Town for their strong support for the construction of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Campus, and then introduced the basic situation of the school. He said that Shenzhen Polytechnic had attached great importance to the development of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Campus and will earnestly implement the deployment of the provincial and municipal governments to build a high-quality college. At present, the school is carrying out discussions on the campus-running mode, orientations, development, innovation, etc. It is hoped that the Cooperation Zone will continue to make rapid progress in determining the building line, land preparation, supporting construction, and livable communities. Also, Yang Xinbin stated on behalf of the school that Shenzhen Polytechnic will complete the construction of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Campus as soon as possible with an all-out resolution.

Subsequently, Li Xiaoyuan, director of the Party and Administration Office of Shenzhen Polytechnic and director of the Development Office of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Campus, reported on the preparations for the construction of the Shenzhen-Shanwei Campus and the existing problems. At the meeting, two sides reached a consensus about the school-running mode, school-running concept, and campus construction; conducted a productive discussion on campus land assignment and preparation; unanimously agreed to the construction of the surrounding supporting facilities for the teaching and living of teachers and students.
