On December 10, Huang Xiaohua, Deputy Director of the Department of Teacher Education of the Ministry of Education, led a delegation to visit Shenzhen Polytechnic and carry out work research on the construction of high-quality teaching staff. Wei Changsong, Deputy Director of the Teachers Management Office of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, and Yang Ping, Deputy Secretary of the Education Working Committee of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, and Member of the Leading Party Members Group of the Education Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, accompanied the inspection. Yang Xinbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shenzhen Polytechnic, and Wang Hui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Committee for Discipline Inspection, participated in the investigation.
The delegation visited the Institute of Marine Biomedicine, Huawei ICT Academy, BYD College of Applied Technology, and Han's Laser Institute. An investigation symposium was then held. At the symposium, Yang Xinbin reported on the overall situation of Shenzhen Polytechnic and the characteristics of running the school and introduced the ideas and practices in building "9 Joint" and promoting the integration of industry and education. Yang Ping and Wei Changsong reported on governmental work. Song Rong, Dean of the School of Electronic and Communication Engineering, and Chen Xiaoqin, Representative of Huang Danian-Style Teacher Team of Shenzhen Polytechnic, delivered speeches on the teacher evaluation system, and teacher ethics and teacher style construction.
After listening to the report, Huang Xiaohua fully appreciated Shenzhen Polytechnic's practice of aiming at the forefront of world industrial development, following "the highest, the latest, and the best" standards, and exploring a school running mode of vocational education suitable for China's national conditions. Huang Xiaohua said that the purpose of this inspection is to understand the actual progress of teacher modernization standards and the construction of teaching staff. He pointed out that the research results of teacher modernization standards should play a guiding role, and follow the "Three Orientations" and "Three Aspects", which include the goal orientation guiding the direction for the whole country, the problem orientation solving the current problems, and the result orientation leading to practical results. At the macro level, the teacher modernization standards should support the realization of educational modernization in 2035; At the medium level, it should solve the support problems of different types of education; At the micro level, it should be combined with teachers' needs and in line with international standards.
