On August 14-17, the “Industrial Network Intelligent Control and Maintenance” segment of 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group) was held at Baotou Vocational & Technical College. 152 students from 76 colleges and universities competed with 110 teachers from 55 colleges and universities across the country. After two days of competition, Chen Liyou and Wu Yusen, students (2021) from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, won the first prize; Shi Ran and Zeng Lingyu, teachers from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, won the second prize.
The new segment corresponded to the digital, networking and intelligent transformation of China’s equipment manufacturing industry, designed to make an all-round and whole-process assessment on the participants in respect of industrial network, intelligent control, remote operation and maintenance, etc., with a wide coverage of technical skills, heavy workload, and high comprehensive difficulty. Through the competition, the teachers and students became familiar with and mastered the new technology, new standards and new norms of the industry, and enhanced their core skills.
