Recently, the “E-Commerce Skills” segment of 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group) was held at Guangdong Polytechnic of Science and Technology (Zhuhai Campus). After fierce competition, the team composed of 4 students, including Huang Qili from Class 4 of Logistics 2020, Huang Xue from Class 2 of Graphics, Ma Qing from Class 2 of International Business, and Lu Honglue from Class 3 of International Business, won the first prize. Meng Junqi and Zhang Zeyan, teachers from the School of Management, won the National Excellent Instructor Award.

A total of 296 contestants from 74 colleges and universities across the country participated in the competition. Consisting of three modules, i.e. visual marketing, e-commerce product development, and online shop operation and promotion, the competition was targeted at such social work positions as Internet product development, visual marketing design, short video editing and production, etc., and corresponded to the new technology, new standards and new requirements of the e-commerce industry, designed to fully examine the contestants’ comprehensive practical operation ability and on-site response ability in visual marketing, digital operation of online shop, e-commerce product development and other respects, and make an all-round assessment on their comprehensive technical level and professional quality in the field of e-commerce.
