On August 18-22, the “Early Childhood Education Skills” segment (for students) of 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group) was held at Jinhua Polytechnic in Zhejiang Province. Under the guidance of two teachers Wu Jing and Peng Daoyin Zhan, two students Xie Yiling and Zhu Yongqi majoring in preschool education competed with 118 contestants of 59 teams from 31 provinces (regions) across the country. After three days of fierce competition, the participating team finally won the second prize in the national competition. The competition comprehensively examined the contestants’ theoretical basic knowledge, educational activity design, educational activity analysis, teachers’ basic skills and innovation, adaptability and other core competences and comprehensive vocational abilities as preschool teachers.
