In the morning of August 28, the “Rail Vehicle Technology” Segment of 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition came to an official end at Yunlong Campus of Hunan Railway Professional Technology College. 100 technical talents from 50 colleges and universities in 27 provinces and cities across the country participated in the competition. ChenZhaomeng, a teacher of urban rail, and Li Na, a student (2021) from the School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering, jointly formed a team and won the first prize in the national competition.
It was one of the first pilot segments of “teachers and students competing on the same stage” under the Ministry of Education. Each team was composed of 1 teacher and 1 student. The content of “Control Circuit Optimization Design” was added in the competition, which focused on assessing the circuit design and innovation ability of teachers and students. After two days of fierce competition, the team of ChenZhaomeng and Li Na finally won the first prize (second place) in the national competition.
The “Rail Vehicle Technology” segment included three modules: train inspection and test, pantograph installation and commissioning, and passenger door installation, commissioning and optimization design, designed to, by form of competition, guide vocational colleges to improve their ability to serve social and economic development and enhance market competitiveness and sustainable innovation ability in talent training in accordance with the law of market economy and the development requirements of rail transit.
