On December 22nd, the China College Student Advertising Art Festival Academy Award (referred to as the "Academy Award") 2023 Autumn Collection Activity and Creative Festival was held in Beijing. Faculty and students from SZPU's School of Communication won one first prize, two second prizes, and instructors Wang Xue and Wu Weiwei were honored with the "Gold Award-level Instructor" title.

The current Academy Award competition attracted participation from 5,309 departments across 1,830 colleges and universities both domestically and internationally, with over 300,000 groups of entries competing. Among them, the work "The Measure of Love" by SZPU students Lu Jiming, Wang Duoduo, Pang Bo, Zhang Xiaobing, Chen Xi, and Yang Rui won the gold award in the marketing planning category and the second prize in the corporate proposition category; students Wu Yanxuan, Xu Shiting, and Zhu Luyu's work "The Combat Chronicles of the Sanjin Troops" won the second prize in the Xiaohonghu track.

The Academy Award is one of the three major awards in the Chinese advertising industry ("Great Wall Award, Yellow River Award, Academy Award"), established with the approval of the State Council's Evaluation and Recognition Work Group. Since the launch of this competition, SZPU's School of Communication organized 781 entries, including 468 in the copywriting category and 313 in the non-copywriting category, ultimately winning 121 awards, comprising 3 national awards, 26 excellence awards, and 92 finalist awards.
