Guide Cover.
As a key knowledge resource launched by UNESCO for the global TVET sector, the guide focuses on the challenges brought by artificial intelligence to work patterns, skill demands, and occupational competency requirements. It systematically outlines the principles, support systems, and implementation pathways for integrating artificial intelligence into vocational education. The guide covers seven key areas — institutional governance, program and curriculum development, teaching and practical training, vocational assessment, teacher and student competency development, AI applications in high-risk occupational scenarios, and innovation and entrepreneurship. It proposes key tasks and implementation methods for AI applications and provides supporting tools, including readiness self-assessment, risk management, and monitoring and evaluation indicators, offering guidance for vocational institutions worldwide to promote the responsible and effective integration of AI into educational practice.
The development and release of this guide represent a landmark achievement in Shenzhen Polytechnic University’s deep engagement in global governance of digital transformation in vocational education and the development of key UNESCO knowledge resources. It fully demonstrates the university’s leadership and sustained contributions in international collaboration in TVET, frontier research on digital transformation, and the global dissemination of China’s experience in vocational education development.
