On September 19, the results of the National Finals of the Practical Challenge of the 14th Future Designer NCDA Contest were announced. Two teams from the Packaging Planning and Design program of the School of Digital Media of Shenzhen Polytechnic University(SZPU)participated in the National Finals under the guidance of instructors Chen Xun and Chen Daiyao. They won First Prize in the National Finals (Zheng Jiali, Zheng Lixian, and Tang Yunhan) and Third Prize (Yu Shuqing, Lin Yixian, and Lin Wenhui), respectively.

The competition required participants to complete AI-assisted video production using on-site equipment, design their works, write accompanying scripts, and perform on-site presentations based on randomly assigned topics. The challenge comprehensively assessed the participants’ practical software skills, creative expression, and ability to respond to unexpected situations. Both teams remained calm and composed throughout the competition, demonstrating solid professional skills and strong overall competence, and stood out among nearly 100 top teams from universities across the country, including numerous Project 985 and Project 211 universities.

The Future Designer NCDA Contest, officially known as the National College Digital Art Design Competition, is included in the Ministry of Education’s national list of undergraduate student competitions and is recognized by the university as a Category B competition. It is a highly recognized and influential competition in the field of art and design, attracting sustained attention and participation from universities across China.
