Vice President Li Yue had cordial talks with Cote d’Ivoire students
In the morning of May 31, Vice President Li Yue led Yang Congkun, Deputy Director of International Office, Wang Qun and Yu Qiliang, Vice President of School of Construction Engineering, Liu Jianzhu, Deputy Dean of School of Foreign Languages and Business, and teacher representatives of School of Foreign Languages and Business to attend a lecture in Room 707, South of Rixin Building, Xili Lake Campus. With the theme of “What is Fashion”, Wang Qiang, a teacher of School of Foreign Languages and Business, exchanged views on fashion from different cultures with 24 Cote d’Ivoire students. The students carefully recorded key contents, actively participated in classroom interactions, and actively expressed their own views.
In class, Li Yue carefully listened to the teacher’s lecture, observed the students’ learning status, and made detailed records according to the contents. After class, Li Yue had an in-depth communication with the teacher Wang Qiang for more information about the usual classroom performance of Cote d’Ivoire students. She fully affirmed Wang Qiang’s teaching methods and enriched classroom contents, and also put forward several suggestions: collect students’ classroom feedback in time; summarize relevant experience; and update teaching contents in a timely manner in light of the latest development in China.
Afterwards, Li Yue had friendly talks with 24 Cote d’Ivoire students, showed concern for the latest situation of their study and life, reminded the students to pay attention to sunstroke prevention and sun block in the near future, and made several requirements for the students: earnestly abide by Chinese laws and regulations and SZPT’s rules and regulations; cherish the hard-won learning opportunities, study hard, and strive to become the pillars of Cote d’Ivoire’s economic and social development after returning to their homeland; learn more about Chinese history and traditional culture, and become ambassadors of cultural exchanges between China and Cote d’Ivoire.
SZPT leaders attended the lecture, which fully reflects the college’s great importance to the “Future Africa - China-Africa Applied Talents Joint Training Program”, and plays an important role in promoting the internationalization and quality of teaching. (International Office)
