On June 16, a delegation of 21 members, composed of representatives from the administrative departments, teaching departments and teaching support departments of the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, visited SZPT for exchange purposes. Su Weimei, Deputy Director of Organization and Personnel Division, Yang Congkun, Deputy Director of Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs, and five professional directors of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Joint Talent Training Program participated in the exchange activities.
At the symposium, Yang Congkun extended a warm welcome to the VTC delegation, and introduced the college’s general situation, the history of Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation and exchange, the development goals and other relevant information. He hoped that the visit of the delegation would be an opportunity for more departments of VTC to establish contacts with the counterparts in the college, and for expanding more cooperation projects in teacher training, student exchange, teaching, scientific research and other fields, and facilitating the in-depth integrated development of vocational education in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. Su Weimei briefed the delegation on the college’s teaching staff construction and expressed sincere gratitude to VTC for its help and support in the implementation of overseas training programs for young teachers at SZPT.
Zhao Jitang, head of the delegation and Assistant Executive Director of VTC, expressed deep gratitude to SZPT for the warm reception and spoke highly of our college’s innovative concept, teaching system and talent training model. She said that as long-term cooperation partners between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, VTC and SZPT share a common mission in the cultivation of vocational education talents; the two sides are expected to constantly innovate ways of exchange and cooperation in the future, jointly explore the prospects of vocational education development, and inject new vitality into the vocational education field in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau.
In the subsequent interaction and exchange session, several professional directors of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Talents Joint Training Program of SZPT and colleagues from the corresponding teaching departments of VTC had in-depth and detailed discussions on the development of the program, the key contents of the next cooperation and other related topics.
