On July 6, as a follow-up to the dialogue between SZPT and Macao Institute for Tourism Studies to jointly build the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Featured Vocational Education Park, the delegation from Macao Institute for Tourism Studies paid a return visit to SZPT. Shi Qiang, Dean of School of Management, Yang Congkun, Deputy Director of Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Feng Xing, Project Specialist, hotel teachers and other related persons participated in the reception.
At the symposium, Shi Qiang introduced the characteristics and advantages of the vocational education park, and discussed in detail the possible cooperation between the two sides in the establishment of a tourism education cooperation center, curriculum construction experience sharing, teacher and student exchange programs, curriculum docking and double degree cooperation projects, as well as the research of tourist reception capacity projects. He said that our college is willing to work with Macao Institute for Tourism Studies to promote the Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System (MORS) “one test and three certificates” training program, and will also strongly support outstanding teachers and students to study in Macao.
The teachers from Macao Institute for Tourism Studies were very interested in the cooperation program and spoke highly of the facilities and planning of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Featured Vocational Education Park. They also look forward to providing a wealth of courses and learning experiences in the cooperation of tourism and hotel management in the future, so as to contribute to hotel tourism education in the Greater Bay Area and Mainland cities.
