On August 24, the project review results of the 2023 NSFC centralized reception period were officially announced. SZPT obtained approval for 14 NSFC projects, including 3 general projects and 11 youth fundprojects, with a total approved grant of 4.82 million yuan, the fourth consecutive year of obtaining approval for more than 10 projects since 2020.
The three general projects approved this year include: “Molecular Mechanism of Rose RhANT-RhROS1 Module in Response to Low Temperature Regulation of Stamen Valving” presided over by Professor Li Yonghongfrom the School of Food and Drug; “Research on Plasticizing Mechanism of Additive Manufacturing TiAI Alloy with Large Plastic Deformation Induced by Ultrasonic Spinning” presided over by Associate Researcher Zhang Liang from the Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing Technology; and “Dynamic Modeling and Adaptive Collaborative Optimization of Non-ferrous Metallurgy Evaporation Process Driven by Digital Twins” presided over by Associate Researcher Xie Sen from the Institute of Intelligent Science and Engineering.
In recent years, tasked with constructing a “high-level and world-class higher vocational college under ministerial and provincial efforts”, SZPT adheres to the application-oriented scientific research, focuses on the construction of high-level scientific research platforms and the research & development of major scientific research projects, takes the improvement of scientific and technological innovation strength as the foundation to constantly promote institutional innovation, mechanism innovation and service innovation, comprehensively improve the applied technology research & development level and social service ability, and vigorously promote the construction of “an excellent applied technology research & development highland in the Bay Area”.
NSFC projects serve as the main channel for high-level basic research at the national level, and also an important indicator to measure the scientific research level of all institutions. In organizing the application for NSFC projects, SZPT always attaches great importance to the implementation of project application, and makes every effort to perform well in all aspects, including application mobilization, policy explanation, project polishing and form review. In the future, SZPT will seize new development opportunities, continue to push forward the overall coordination and planning of application for key and major projects, continue to perfect the whole process of scientific research management such as application mobilization, project promotion, etc., and effectively improve SZPT’s comprehensive strength in scientific research.
