Recently, the Department of Education of Guangdong Province announced the results of the 2023 Higher Vocational Education “Project of Building a Strong University through Innovation” Assessment, and SZPT ranked first in Class A colleges and universities with a score of 93.40.
The assessment content focuses on the mechanism and planning, talent training, faculty, scientific research, social service, comprehensive management performance, as well as highlights and distinctive characteristics of the colleges and universities, and is carried out in the form of self-assessment and expert review. This year, a total of 90 higher vocational colleges and universities in Guangdong Province participated in the assessment, of which 37 Class A, 33 Class B, and 20 Class C colleges and universities.
It is reported that the Guangdong Province Higher Vocational Education “Project of Building a Strong University through Innovation” aims to guide the staggered development of higher vocational colleges and universities at different levels and types of running schools and create their own characteristics. Among them, Class A colleges and universities have passed the acceptance of provincial demonstration higher vocational colleges and universities, and are identified as national demonstration higher vocational colleges and universities, with all basic indicators being qualified, and both the registration rate of new students and the first-time employment rate in the past three years being above the average line of vocational colleges and universities in the province. In this year’s assessment of 37 Class A colleges and universities, the highest score was 93.40, the lowest score was 74.36, and the average score was 82.79.
