Xu Jianling chaired the “Party Secretary and President Afternoon Tea” activity

On September 20, President Xu Jianling chaired the “Party Secretary and President Afternoon Tea” with the theme of “Talking about my three-year Plan at the University” in Lida Academy, Liuxiandong Campus, and had face-to-face communication with 15 representatives of junior college students. The relevant heads from the Office of Academic Affairs, the Office of Student Affairs, the Youth League Committee and the Office of Logistics and Infrastructure participated in the activity.

At the symposium, the students actively talked about their feelings and gains since enrollment, their learning and development goals, and their plans for college life. The students said that it was a great honor to be a member of SZPT, and they would work hard to learn professional knowledge and improve themselves in the next three years, in order to produce a perfect answer paper. The relevant department heads of the university listened carefully to the students’ speeches and had in-depth exchanges on the topic, providing valuable experience and suggestions for the students’ college life.

In his concluding speech, Xu Jianling praised the students for their profound thinking and unique opinions on the theme. He shared his thoughts and made several suggestions. First, have a clear direction, set faith and plan their future reasonably. Second, study hard to strengthen their skills and improve their ability of choice and judgment. Third, combine work and rest, implement strict self-discipline, and maintain physical and mental health. Fourth, have comprehensive quality, keep resilient, and cultivate the excellent quality of perseverance.

The symposium grasped the key node of the beginning of the semester, paid attention to the needs of freshmen, took the growth of students as the goal, helped freshmenacquire an understanding of the characteristics of college study and life from multiple perspectives, and provided many suggestions for the development planning in the university. At the symposium, the leaders also encouraged the students to adhere to the motto of “advancing with both morality and expertise, striving for self-improvement”,practice in the hopeful college life, and grow into socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor as soon as possible.
