On October 11, Wang Bingfeng, Director of International Office, Yang Congkun, Deputy Director of International Office, and relevant teachers from the International Office and the School of Construction Engineering visit Cote d’Ivoire students in their dormitories in order to learn more about their study and life at the university.
During the visit, the teachers acquired a close understanding of the students’ life and psychological state in the new semester, listened to their needs and suggestions, and actively coordinated to solve the practical problems faced by the students. At the end of the visit, everyone sat across from each other, where Cote d’Ivoire students showed their Chinese learning achievements enthusiastically, and sang a Chinese song, which attracted bursts of warm applause.
Wang Bingfeng conveyed the university’s deep concern for Cote d’Ivoire students, highly affirmed their language and discipline learning, and encouraged them to make continuous efforts and strive to set an excellent example for the younger students of the second Sino-African Applied Talents Joint Training Program. In the end, the leaders and teachers encouraged the students to actively participate in the upcoming sports meeting of the university and achieve more success.
The International Office, in collaboration with the School of Construction Engineering, will hold seminars, and organize study tours, English corners and various recreational and sports activities, so that these students who are far away from home can feel the warmth of the university and better integrate themselves into campus life. It is expected that this care can take root in the hearts of the students and encourage them to keep moving forward and work hard to realize their dreams. (Chen Xiaoduo, International Office)
