On October 17, Volkmar Meinhold, Chairman of F+U Public Welfare Education Group in Germany, led a delegation to visit SZPU, and the two sides held a symposium in the conference room of Mingde Building. The guests were received by Li Yue, Vice President of SZPU, and relevant leaders from the School of Medical Technology and Nursing, the School of Vocational and Technical Education, and the Sino-German Higher Vocational Education Innovation Center. The symposium was chaired by Wang Bingfeng, Director of International Office.

At the symposium, Li Yue extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Meinhold, and reviewed the past cooperation achievements between SZPU and F+U Public Welfare Education Group. Li Yue said that F+U is one of the foreign educational institutions that maintain the closest cooperation with SZPU, with a wealth of high-quality vocational education resources in Germany, and has successfully assisted SZPU to establish a cooperative relationship with Mittweida University of Applied Sciences in Germany. It is hoped that the two sides will further deepen their strategic partnership in the future.

Meinhold first congratulated SZPU on its successful name change and upgrading to the undergraduate education, and that the two sides could cooperate on vocational education and training at a higher level in the future. He said that the work of“elderly care andchild care”affects every family in any country and relates to people’s well-being. Faced with a deepening level of aging population andthe growing demand for child care services, the two sides should pay attention to talent training in preschool education and rehabilitation & elderly care. He hopes that on the basis of the friendly and stable cooperation in the early stage, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in nursing, preschool education, German language and other majors and disciplines through educational upgrading, vocational qualification, language training and other forms. During the visit, the delegation also visited the BYD Automotive Institute and the Elderly Healthcare College.

It is reported that F+U Public Welfare Education Group in Germany, founded in 1991, is a non-profit vocational education institution, and has set up more than 20 branches in Europe. It is one of the largest“dual system”vocational education and training institutions in Germany, and also a professional teaching agency designated by Handwerkskammer (HWK).
