On November 1, our university signed a cooperation framework agreement with Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation to jointly establish Shenzhen Institute for High-Quality Development of Food for carry out strategic cooperation in talent training, application research & development and social services. Meanwhile, under the guidance of Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation, SZPU as the sponsor, together with industry leaders, technical institutions and industry associations, built Shenzhen Food Industry and Education Alliance and Shenzhen Biomedicine Industry and Education Alliance, and was elected as the chairman unit.

Cai Yingquan, Party Secretary and Director of Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation, Chen Jianmin, Party Secretary and Second-level Inspector of Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation, SZPU President Xu Jianling, Vice President Dong Chaojun and other related persons attended the ceremony. More than 140 alliances as sponsoring units participated in the activity, includingthe responsible heads of food and drug functions of Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation, and the relevant persons in charge of food and biomedical industry associations (societies), and leading enterprises, top enterprises, specialized enterprises or new enterprises in food and biomedical fields.

Shenzhen Institute for High-Quality Development of Food was inaugurated

In his speech, Xu Jianling said that the industry-education integration is an important measure to realize the organic connection of the education chain, industrial chain, supply chain, talent chain and value chain. It is believed that with the strong support of Shenzhen Administration for Market Supervision, and the joint efforts of the government, schools, enterprises and banks, a closer industry-education community will be formed to gather more advantageous resources, achieve more substantial results, and build Shenzhen Institute for High-Quality Development of Food and two industry-education alliances into a model of “government-school-industry-enterprise” cooperation on domestic vocational education, so as to set a benchmark for promoting the industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation in the field of food and medicine in the new era, and contribute to the high-quality development of food and biomedical industries in Shenzhen.

Cai Yingquan said that the food and biomedicine, as advantageous and strategic emerging industries in Shenzhen, are in urgent need of a large number of innovative talents, academic achievements and industry experience as support. The signing is a concrete action to jointly study a new path for government-school cooperation, discuss new ideas for school-enterprise cooperation, and jointly build a new model for the industry-education integration. It is also an important measure to strengthen the city’s food and drug safety defense line and promote the development of Shenzhen’s food and drug industries. The combination of the two parties will surely promote the high-quality development of Shenzhen’s food and pharmaceutical industries, and make new and greater contributions to Shenzhen’s efforts to build itself into an economic center city with more global influence and a modern international metropolis.

At the meeting, the two sides signed a cooperation framework agreement to jointly build “Shenzhen Institute for High-Quality Development of Food”. Theinstitute will carry out cooperation in six aspects: platform co-construction, Party building and integration, talent co-education, technology co-research, service sharing, and industry-education alliance, accelerate the industry-education integration, and science-education integration, achieve win-win sharing, and create a new highland of talent training, technological innovation, management innovation and social services in the food and drug field of Shenzhen and even the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

“Shenzhen Food Industry-Education Alliance” and “Shenzhen Biomedicine Industry-Education Alliance” were inaugurated at the same time, and SZPU was elected as the chairman unit. The two industry-education alliances will carry out cooperation in respect of food safety testing, quality safety management, health food research & development and production, as well as biomedical research& development and production, process optimization, quality control and management, etc., so as to promote the high-quality development of Shenzhen’s food and biomedical industries.
