Signing ceremony for thejoint doctoraltraining program
On November 1, Yang Xinbin, Secretary of Party Committee of SZPU, led a delegation to visit Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU). The two sides signed a memorandum of inter-university cooperation to deepen coordination and strive to achieve deeper cooperation in scientific research capacity improvement, academic exchanges and visits, postgraduate talent training and other aspects. Teng Jin-guang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences & President of HKPU, Wang Zuankai, Associate Vice President of HKPU, and heads of the Graduate School and the Mainland Development Office attended the symposium. The symposium was chaired by Cao Jiannong, President of HKPU Graduate School.
At the symposium, Teng Jin-guang introduced in detail the development history of HKPU and its vision of “becoming a leading university in the development and transfer of knowledge, providing quality whole-person education, and contributing to Hong Kong, the country and the world”, and shared HKPU’s innovative measures in technology research & development and curriculum reform.
Yang Xinbin introduced our work in recent years in Party building characteristics, talent training, scientific research, social services, international cooperation and other aspects, and our new vision of integrating industry and education with applied technology research & development as the lead. He hoped that HKPU will continue to give strong support to the university in scientific and technological cooperation, resource sharing, visiting young teachers and joint doctoral training, and on behalf of SZPU, welcomed HKPU’s young teachers and students to carry out academic exchanges and visits at the university.
At the meeting, the two universities signed an agreement on the joint doctoral program.
After the meeting, Yang Xinbin and his delegation visited the National Rail Transit Electrification and Automation Engineering Technique Research Center (Hong Kong Branch) and the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things of HKPU.
