From March 8 to 9, the Network System Administration event of the 2024-2025 Guangdong Vocational College Skills Competition, hosted by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province and organized by Shenzhen Polytechnic University (SZPU), was successfully held at the Xili Lake Campus Gymnasium. The competition brought together 66 teams from across the province, with a total of 264 contestants demonstrating their technical expertise. After fierce competition, SZPU’s Computer Network Technology students Zheng Zhicheng, Tang Hui, Liu Wenfeng, and Chen Siqi secured first place, earning a spot in the national competition.
The Network System Administration event is designed based on real-world enterprise projects, aligning with industry job skill requirements. Participants were required to complete a series of tasks within a set time, including project requirement analysis, network design and planning, network device configuration, enterprise network service and application deployment, and network operation and maintenance management. The competition assessed contestants’ professional competencies, technical proficiency, and innovative problem-solving abilities in the field of information network technology. The competition spanned two days. On the first day, participants took part in the Skills Testing module, where teams were assigned tasks through a random draw and had to complete all designated skill assessments in one session. On the second day, the Comprehensive Presentation module required participants to demonstrate and explain their solutions from the skills testing phase.
