Good News! Our university's School of Digital Media Assault Team achieved excellent results in the Guangdong Youth College Students "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Project" Assault Team "Cultural and Creative+" Competition.

Our university's School of Digital Media "Hello Planet" assault team won the provincial second prize.

On June 8, the Guangdong Youth University Students "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Project" Assault Team "CulturalandCreativity +" Competition, hosted by the Communist Youth League Provincial Committee, concluded successfully at South China Normal University. Our university's School of Digital Media "Hello Planet" assault team emerged from among 450 teams across the province to win the provincial second prize.

The entry for this competition, as a milestone achievement from the university's "Double Hundred Action Huizhou District's Baipenzhu Town Creating an Archaeology Town Cultural and Creative Product Design and Development" project, focuses on the unique cultural and tourism resources of Baipenzhu Town. By outlining "one village, one characteristic," it transforms the local genetic culture of Baipenzhu's 1 community and 12 villages into graphical designs, creating a rural tourism brand that blends "old and new," "leisure and wellness," and "one village, one product."

Assault team advisor Jiang Wen explained that "one village, one product, one characteristic" is significant because it organizes rural culture, helps villages explore a suitable thematic path, better integrates local elements, activates linkages and synergies among local industries, and generates buzz to create traffic. This design series delves deeply and refines the focus on the 12 administrative villages in Baipenzhu Town, aligning with each village's historical culture, archaeological heritage, folk customs, unique natural resources, and industry characteristics. It converts these into a series of graphical designs for "one village, one characteristic," which can be used for promoting cultural and tourism activities in Baipenzhu's villages and developing a range of product carriers, effectively achieving cultural enhancement and transformation in tourism based on rural culture as the core. At the same time, the cultural and tourism positioning of each village, along with practical cultural and creative product conversions, draws more young people to pay attention to the development and construction of the beautiful rural area of Baipenzhu, allowing them to easily and enjoyably integrate into rural leisure life.

The Guangdong Youth University Students "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Project" Assault Team "CulturalandCreativity +" Competition attracted 450 teams from 127 universities, submitting over a thousand entries across diverse categories, including cultural and creative product design, cultural and tourism route planning, folk activity planning, literary works creation, ancient architecture protection and revitalization plans, exhibition outcomes, and research reports.
