
From December 4 to 6, the 2025 Belt and Road Initiative and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition — National Finals of the First AI Interactive 3D Digital Works Design Competition were successfully held at Hunan Arts and Crafts Vocational College. Teams from the School of Digital Media of Shenzhen Polytechnic University (SZPU) delivered outstanding performances, winning two First Prizes in both the Student Group and the Teacher Group, and successfully advancing to the 2026 North Africa International Competition.
The competition consisted of both theoretical and practical modules. In the Student Group, participants were required to complete the full competition workflow, including material processing, software-based creation, and submission and verification of digital works. The Teacher Group showcased their achievements in technology application through themed PPT presentations. The competition comprehensively assessed participants’ professional competence, innovation capacity, and practical skills.During the preparation phase, student competitors Su Zhengyi and Diao Ruiqi, under the dedicated guidance of instructors Wu Qingqing and Li Weichen, repeatedly refined their creative concepts and technical details and underwent intensive, targeted training tailored to the competition requirements. At the finals, the faculty–student teams stood out from strong competitors nationwide with their solid theoretical foundations, proficient technical execution, and creative design solutions, ultimately securing First Prizes in both categories and qualifying for the international finals in North Africa.
The BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition is an internationally recognized and authoritative event, officially filed with China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and approved by the BRICS Business Council. The international finals are scheduled to take place from April to May 2026 in Casablanca, Morocco, with teams from China, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, and other countries competing on the same stage. Faculty and students from SZPU will represent China at the international competition, engaging in high-level skills exchange and professional competition.
