
On December 15, the Department of Education of Guangdong Province announced the list of winners in the teaching track (Guangdong Division) of the Third National University Student Career Planning Competition. After qualification review, online evaluation, and on-site finals, Ren Yuanmei, Director of the Student Affairs Office of the Faculty of Digital Media, and Liu Yanling, Counselor of the Faculty of Economics, respectively won the gold award and silver award in the vocational education group. RenYuanmeiadvanced to the national finals.
The competition included multiple segments such as reporting on course construction, teaching demonstrations, and interactive Q&A. A total of 125 participants from various higher education institutions in Guangdong Province registered. Ren Yuanmei, with the topic “Specialized-General Integration, Five-Dimensional Innovation: Exploration and Practice of Career Construction in the New Energy Vehicle Field,” systematically explained how our university’s University Student Career Planning and Employment Guidance course deeply aligns with leading enterprises such as BYD. Through dynamic teaching materials, tripartite faculty, anda closed-loop practical training system, the course empowers students from professional learning to job competency, showcasing distinctive vocational education characteristics and solid teaching standards. She ultimately won the gold award in the finals with the highest on-site score. Liu Yanling, with the topic “Career Navigation, Action Leads Far: SZPU Exploration of Action-Oriented Full-Cycle Career Course Reform,” vividly presented the reform process and distinctive innovations of the course, demonstrating solid teaching foundation, clear reform ideas, and vibrant practical outcomes.
It is reported that, to implement the relevant work of the teaching track of the Third National University Student Career Planning Competition, the Admissions and Employment Office launched the school-level selection for the teaching track in March. Coordinated by the Teaching and Research Section of University Student Employment Guidance Courses, the mandatory general education course University Student Career Planning and Employment Guidance was selected as the participating course, and two teams were recommended to represent the university in the teaching track. The national finals of the teaching track of the Third National University Student Career Planning Competition are expected to be held in Tianjin in January 2026. In the next step, the Admissions and Employment Office will fully prepare training and refinement for the competition project, striving for further success in the national finals.
