
Wu Yihuan, Vice Chair of the CPPCC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Director of China Vocational Education Association, Shenzhen and Chair of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League, visited SZPU to investigate talent cultivation and industry-education integration.
On September 4, Wu Yihuan and her delegation visited SZPU to investigate talent cultivation and industry-education integration, and held a symposium. Xu Jianling, Deputy Party Secretary and President of SZPU, and Vice President Li Yue attended the event.
During the symposium, Wu Yihuan highly praised SZPU’s achievements. She said SZPU, as a pioneer in vocational education, has long adhered to industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, achieving remarkable results and cultivating a large number of highly skilled talents for Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area. It is a vivid practice of innovative vocational education with Chinese characteristics. Wu emphasized that as China vigorously develops modern vocational education, she hopes SZPU will continue to play a leading role in exploring new models for building high-level vocational universities and contribute more “Shenzhen experience” to the sector.
Xu Jianling, on behalf of the university, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Association for its long-term concern and support for SZPU’s development. He noted that the China Vocational Education Association, Shenzhen, as an important bridge between the Party, government, and the vocational education sector, has played an irreplaceable role in uniting social forces and promoting reforms. The university is advancing the optimization of academic structures and education reforms, actively exploring pathways for cultivating both top-tier and highly skilled talents. In this process, strong support and guidance from influential and authoritative organizations like the China Vocational Education Association, Shenzhen are essential to jointly advance the modernization of vocational education.

The Association presented bouquets to three faculty representatives—Hu Songhua (Director of Urban Rail Transit Operation and Management), Song Zhendong (Director of Industrial Robotics), and Lu Shan (Assistant Dean of the Institute of Intelligent Science and Engineering)—to extend festive greetings to all SZPU staff ahead of the 41st Teachers’ Day.
Before the symposium, Wu Yihuan and her delegation visited the Institute of Critical Materials for Integrated Circuits, Huawei ICT Academy, and BYD Institute of Applied Technology.
