Recently, the Finals of the 2025–2026 National University Taekwondo Championships concluded successfully at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. The competition brought together elite teams from 185 universities across China, featuring a large field of participants and a high level of competition. The Shenzhen Polytechnic University Taekwondo Team delivered an outstanding performance, winning 2 gold, 7 silver, and 14 bronze medals and claiming the overall team championship in Division B. With a total score of 69.5 points, the team also placed third overall among all 185 participating universities nationwide.
Behind these impressive results was the team members’ unwavering dedication and disciplined training day after day. During the preparation period, the athletes carefully balanced their academic studies with intensive specialized training. They made full use of their spare time and holidays to refine their techniques, build physical fitness, and develop tactical coordination. They also proactively overcame the challenges posed by repetitive training, physical conditioning bottlenecks, and injuries. Traveling to compete away from home, the team members overcame the fatigue of long journeys and quickly adapted to unfamiliar competition environments, making every effort to reach peak condition for each demanding round. On the competition floor, the athletes embodied the Taekwondo spirit of resilience and perseverance. Remaining calm and composed while competing with determination, they steadily advanced through multiple closely contested knockout rounds, continuously pushing their limits and giving their all in every bout.
