On December 19, the China-Pakistan Vocational Education and Training Cooperation Forum, organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in China, was held in Beijing. During the forum, the Shenzhen Polytechnic University (SZPT) Digital Animation Professional Teaching Resource Library Project signed a cooperation agreement with its Pakistani counterpart, witnessed by KHALIL HASHMI, Ambassador of Pakistan to China.
Vocational education has become a driving force in international education collaboration, opening new avenues for vocational institutions. Responding to the Belt and Road Initiative, SZPT is leveraging the "Shenzhen Agreement" to promote the internationalization of vocational education standards. By building on the foundation of its national-level curriculum resource library for the Digital Animation program, SZPT has partnered with the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan, to advance digital collaboration in vocational education and training. The partnership will jointly develop and share digitalized vocational courses and content for a three-year diploma program in film and television animation.
The signing of this agreement provides a platform for communication and collaboration between China and Pakistan in vocational education, paving the way for the implementation of cooperative projects. By empowering skills development with digital technology, the agreement creates opportunities to enhance collaboration in vocational standards, training models, curriculum development, skills competitions, and more. This partnership lays a solid foundation for nurturing a greater number of skilled professionals.
The forum, themed "Fostering a Skilled Workforce for a Better Future," aimed to deepen China-Pakistan vocational education cooperation and drive industrial excellence. The event brought together more than 400 leaders and guests from government agencies, educational institutions, and enterprises from both China and Pakistan, including H.E. Moin ul Haque and Jia Peng, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of China's Ministry of Education.
