The opening ceremony was held at the Liuxiandong Campus Sports Field.

“Forge Youth with Military Spirit, Shine with Military Training”. On January 5, the 2024 Military Training Mobilization Conference and Opening Ceremony for freshmen at Shenzhen Polytechnic University was held at the Liuxiandong Campus Sports Field. Colonel Wang Yongmin from the training unit, Vice President Dong Chaojun of the university, and Colonel Jiang Hua, Commander of the military training group, attended the conference. Leaders from the Student Affairs Office, the Armed Forces Department, and the branch secretaries of various colleges participated in the event.

The Flag Guard.

The ceremony began at 9:30 a.m. sharp. The National Flag Guard, in sharp and neat attire, marched with strong and steady steps as the national anthem played, solemnly raising the Five-Star Red Flag.

Afterward, Vice President Dong Chaojun delivered the military training mobilization speech. He set out three main points: First, the instructors should uphold strict standards, organize training with care, apply scientific methods, and ensure the quality and quantity of the training tasks. Second, the students must strictly adhere to training discipline, obey the instructors’ commands, complete every movement diligently, refine their willpower through practice, strengthen their national defense awareness, and enhance their patriotism. Third, the lead counselors must be fully engaged, closely cooperate with the instructors, care for the students, ensure proper support, and guarantee a safe and smooth training process.

Students Take the Military Training Oath.

Next, Yu Feng, a student representative from the School of Integrated Circuit, delivered a speech and led the military training oath. Sergeant Xu Dezhen, representing all the instructors, also spoke, expressing that the instructors would give their best efforts to ensure the smooth running of the military training and hoped the students would strictly follow the rules, engage actively in training, and constantly challenge and surpass themselves.

In the uplifting music, Vice President Dong Chaojun solemnly handed the military training group flag to Colonel Jiang Hua, the commander of the group.

Exciting Display by the Instructors

The ceremony concluded with an exciting display by the instructors, showcasing formations, hand-to-hand combat, tactical movements, and counter-terrorism techniques. Their synchronized actions, powerful slogans, and passionate combat performances won applause from the faculty and students. This not only demonstrated the instructors’ professionalism and military skills but also sparked the students’ anticipation and enthusiasm for the upcoming military training.
