The summary conference was held at the Xili Lake campus gymnasium.

On January 15, the school held its 2024 Annual Work Summary Conference at the Xili Lake campus gymnasium. Party Secretary Yang Xinbin delivered the summary speech titled “Still Waters Run Deep, Accumulating Strength for Greater Momentum, Stepping Forward to New Heights”. Vice Party Secretary and President Xu Jianling presented the work summary report and outlined plans for the upcoming semester. Vice Party Secretary Wang Hui hosted the meeting. All university leaders, members of the Party Committee, and faculty and staff from various departments attended.

The meeting began with an award ceremony, during which Xu Jianling presented awards to outstanding collectives and individuals who made significant contributions to the school in 2024. Five faculty representatives then shared their work experiences in areas such as research and innovation, education and teaching, student affairs, and social services.

In his report, Xu Jianling reviewed and summarized the school’s 2024 work across eight key areas: Party-building and ideological work, overall institutional strength, quality of talent development, research and innovation, faculty development, resource support efficiency, social service capability, and global exchange and cooperation. He provided detailed analysis of the completion of major projects and specific work measures. Xu expressed heartfelt gratitude for the hard work of all faculty and staff, emphasizing that these achievements were the result of their collective efforts. He then reviewed the 2025 key tasks, outlining 115 specific tasks across 19 areas, with clear requirements and deadlines, and instructed departments to implement them effectively. Xu also outlined plans for the holiday period and the start of the next semester, emphasizing the importance of smooth and orderly execution.

Yang Xinbin’s closing speech focused on four main themes: deeply understanding the requirements for building a “strong education nation”, setting new benchmarks for the “Eastern Stronghold”, showcasing the new responsibilities of SZPU, and cultivating the new expectations for “SZPU’s ethos”. He stressed that 2025 would be the “Year of Strengthening Teachers”, urging everyone to integrate the concept of building a strong education nation into their daily work, aiming to build a team of “craftsman teachers” with the spirit of educators. This will provide a solid foundation for advancing educational modernization and building a strong education nation. Yang also encouraged all faculty and staff to strengthen their teaching ethics, solidify development goals, raise standards of excellence, deepen the school’s educational foundation, and enhance its reputation. With the aim of becoming a trailblazer in the innovative development of Chinese vocational education, the school should continue to lead the exploration of high-quality vocational undergraduate education and make even greater contributions to the construction of a strong education nation.
