The University Hosts 2025 Induction Training for Newly Hired Teachers

Date: May 19, 2025

The opening ceremony took place in Conference Room 1 of Tongde Building on campus.

On the afternoon of May 7, the university hosted the opening ceremony for the first 2025 session of induction training for newly hired teachers in Conference Room 1 of Tongde Building. Deputy Party Secretary and President Xu Jianling delivered the inaugural lecture, with 88 new teachers participating. The ceremony was hosted by Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission He Li, who delivered the opening address.

At the ceremony, He Li warmly welcomed the newly hired teachers and emphasized the importance of induction training for their professional development. She noted that induction training serves as both an introduction to university culture and teaching responsibilities and a vital means to enhance teachers’ professional competence and teaching skills. She encouraged the new teachers to seize this opportunity, engage actively, and build a strong foundation for their future teaching careers.

Xu Jianling then delivered an inspiring inaugural lecture titled "Leveraging the Double High-Level Program to Deepen Industry-Education Integration and Advance the University’s High-Quality Development" for the newly hired teachers. Representing the university, he warmly welcomed the new teachers and provided an overview of its history and current achievements. He highlighted that, as a national leader in vocational education, the university is dedicated to training highly skilled professionals, with the new teachers bringing fresh energy and momentum.

In his lecture, Xu Jianling examined the current state, challenges, and future directions of vocational education. He noted that vocational education differs significantly from traditional higher education, placing higher demands on teachers. Vocational educators must combine strong academic expertise with extensive practical experience and sharp market insight to become true "dual-teacher" professionals (combining academic and industry expertise). Using compelling case studies and detailed data, he highlighted the university’s successes in industry-education integration and industry partnerships, urging new teachers to explore, innovate, and contribute to its high-quality development.

Concluding his lecture, Xu Jianling shared high expectations for the new teachers. He urged them to pursue lofty ideals, strengthen their commitment to education, and continually enhance their professional competence and teaching skills; to embrace responsibilities and contribute proactively with their wisdom and efforts to the university’s development; and to uphold the mission of educating for the Party and nation, striving to nurture holistic socialist builders and successors excelling in morality, intellect, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor.
