Both parties co-build the Artificial Intelligence Root Technology Industry College.

On August 29, Shenzhen Polytechnic University (SZPU) signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huawei) to deepen collaboration in artificial intelligence talent cultivation and co-build the Artificial Intelligence Root Technology Industry College (hereinafter referred to as the Industry College). The Industry College will leverage Huawei’s ICT independent innovation technology (root technology) to build a new path for industry-education integration through a trinity of “system, platform, and community”, jointly developing and continuously optimizing talent cultivation plans to support SZPU in comprehensively advancing the deep application of intelligent computing technology and high-level professional development.

Both parties signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement.

At the meeting, Xu Jianling, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of SZPU, and Tao He, Deputy General Manager of Huawei Shenzhen Government and Enterprise Business, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. Li Junfeng, Vice President of Huawei and CEO of the Public Services Corps, Dang Zhangbo, Global Director of Huawei’s Enterprise Training and Certification Department’s University Business, and heads of relevant SZPU functional departments attended the signing ceremony.

In his speech, Li Junfeng noted that the cooperation between SZPU and Huawei is a two-way commitment to “AI + Education”. Huawei will go all out to work with SZPU to explore new models and paths for building industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation in vocational education. Through the deep empowerment of Huawei’s root technology, it will support SZPU in building a world-class vocational and technical university, delivering a large number of national craftsmen and skilled artisans oriented toward new productive forces for national and regional industrial development.

In his speech, Xu Jianling stated that from the joint establishment of the nation’s first Huawei Information and Network Technology Academy in 2014, to the co-building of the Huawei ICT Academy Support Center in 2023, and now the co-construction of the Artificial Intelligence Root Technology Industry College, the cooperation between SZPU and Huawei has yielded fruitful results. From “mutual help and coexistence” and “mutual help and growth” to “mutual integration and collaborative research”, the partnership has continuously reached new heights. Both parties will work together to build the Industry College into a new paradigm for industry-education integration in the field of artificial intelligence root technology, making new and greater contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the artificial intelligence industry.

In the future, SZPU will leverage Huawei’s technical advantages in next-generation ICT (Information and Communication Technology) with “software-hardware synergy and full-stack innovation”, focusing on independent innovation and efficient AI ecosystem construction, to jointly build a “dual-teacher” digital and intelligent faculty team, create a core curriculum system, innovate AI high-skilled talent cultivation models, and engage in social services and international exchanges and cooperation. This cooperation will promote SZPU in creating a “Shenzhen Model” for the high-quality development of vocational education, injecting strong momentum into the innovative breakthroughs and sustained development of vocational undergraduate education in artificial intelligence.
