The university’s Teachers’ Day Commendation Conference was held in Conference Room 1, Tongde Building, Liuxiandong Campus.

On the afternoon of September 10, the university held the Teachers’ Day Commendation Conference in Conference Room 1, Tongde Building, Liuxiandong Campus, warmly celebrating the 41st Teachers’ Day. The conference commended the outstanding collectives and individuals who emerged in the 2024-2025 academic year, awarded commemorative medals to educators with 30 years of service, and held a retirement ceremony for teachers retiring in the 2024-2025 academic year. University leaders, Party Committee members, all mid-level principal officials, teacher representatives, and high-level talent expert representatives attended the meeting. Over 250 representatives from various university departments participated in the offline meeting, with all faculty and staff watching the live broadcast synchronously. The commendation conference was hosted by He Li, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission.

Following the ceremony, the conference commended the outstanding collectives and individuals who emerged in the 2024-2025 academic year. Vice President Li Xiaoyuan read out the Notice on Commending Outstanding Collectives and Individuals for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. University leaders presented awards to recipients of Outstanding Educator, Top Ten Class Advisors, Teaching and Educating Role Models, and provincial honors. After the awards presentation, university leaders awarded commemorative medals to five representatives of educators with 30 years of service, and young teachers presented flowers to five representatives of retiring teachers, expressing sincere gratitude and festive blessings!

Subsequently, Tan Chong from the School of Marxism, Hu Hanlin from the Hoffmann Institute of Advanced Materials, Lian Guoyun from the School of Artificial Intelligence, Yang Li from the School of Integrated Circuits, and Wang Ying from the Academic Affairs Office spoke as teacher representatives at the conference. The five teacher representatives shared their experiences rooted in frontline work, practicing industry-education integration, and caring for student growth, elaborating on their insights into students, professions, and education. Their actions vividly embodied the spirit of educators, demonstrating their dedication and love for the cause of education.

At the conclusion of the commendation conference, Xu Jianling, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President, on behalf of the university, extended festive greetings and high respect to all faculty and staff working on the front lines of teaching, research, and administrative services, as well as to retired teachers who have contributed to the university’s construction and development. He warmly congratulated the commended outstanding collectives and individuals and extended a warm welcome to newly appointed teachers. He said that over the past year, the university’s Party Committee united and led all faculty and staff to strive diligently and take on responsibilities, achieving remarkable results in various university endeavors. Currently, the university is at a critical stage in building a world-class vocational and technical university. The further the development progresses, the more prominent the role of teachers as the “primary resource” becomes, and the global, decisive, and leading role of faculty team building in the university’s development becomes increasingly evident.

Looking to the future, Xu Jianling proposed four expectations for all faculty and staff: First, stay true to the original aspiration and become a “great master” practicing the spirit of educators; second, face industry needs and become a “bridge builder” for industry-education integration; third, dare to innovate and become a “pioneer” serving the broader development landscape; fourth, unite and contribute, becoming an “inheritor” of the SZPU spirit. He called on all faculty and staff to take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as guidance, strengthen the teaching force with the spirit of educators, unite and forge ahead, innovate boldly, and strive to build a world-class vocational and technical university with Chinese characteristics, achieving the goals of building a strong education nation and serving the country with skills!
