Shenzhen Polytechnic University University Cultural & Creative Products InstituteIn October 2019, the Shenzhen Digital Trade Research Institute was founded by Shenzhen Polytechnic University, with the help of the Alibaba Digital Trade School. In January 2020, the Institute was approved to be established as a humanities and social sciences research platform, focusing on the research of digital trade. The Institute is working with the Yiben Livestream Base, cross-border e-commerce B2B enterprises with Alibaba's "1 + x" certificate, and industry leaders like Amazon, Tomtop, and Pangoo to develop school-enterprise cooperation courses and jointly carry out teaching and research in digital trade. The Institute is mainly composed of young and middle-aged researchers. Out of the 18 researchers, one enjoys special allowances from the Shenzhen government, one is rated as Leading Talent in Shenzhen, and nine hold a doctorate. The Institute mainly engages in theoretical research related to digital trade, international comparative research on digital trade, research on the development of digital trade in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, research on the training model of digital trade talents in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and research on the development of the cross-border e-commerce industry in Shenzhen.
